2pcs – Standard Plate Anchors

Exceeds ACI and ICRI Codes:
Tension Tie Straps in Wood Structures Worldwide.

ASTM A193 defines both SI (Metric) and inch-pound units. Grade B7 is a heat-treated chromium-molybdenum (Cr-Mo) alloy steel with minimum tensile strength requirement of 125 ksi, yield 105 ksi, and maximum hardness of 35HRC. Chromium-molybdenum alloy steel (or chrome moly), is an alloy used for high pressure and temperature use. It is used in oil and gas, energy, construction and the automotive industries because of its corrosion resistance and high-temperature and tensile strength.

Both anchor types, before you commit to a quantity

The Mini-Pack pairs two Standard Knife Anchors with two Standard Plate Anchors — the two connections that account for most retrofit work on wood-framed foundations. It exists so a contractor or engineer can handle both parts, install them in the conditions they actually work in, and confirm fit before ordering a job lot.

Which anchor does what

  • Standard Knife Anchors replace cast-in-place J-bolts in wood structures — the connection that corrodes and expands until it breaks the stem wall apart.
  • Standard Plate Anchors replace tension tie straps and strap anchors, spreading uplift and shear across a plate rather than a strap edge.

Both exceed ACI and ICRI criteria and both use ASTM A193 Grade B7 chromium-molybdenum rod, so the material specification is identical across the pack — what differs is the connection each one is designed to restore.

What to check during a trial install

  • Embedment depth available in your stem wall, and whether it clears existing reinforcement.
  • Access under the sill plate, particularly in crawl spaces and tight garage returns.
  • Concrete condition around the failed anchor — spalling often extends further than it appears.
  • What your jurisdiction expects for documentation; some ask for an engineer’s letter, some require no permit at all.

Ordering and moving to quantity

Mini-Packs ship from Tempe, Arizona, typically in five to eight business days. Once you have settled on the right part, order at volume from the Standard Knife Anchor Bolts or Standard Center Plate Concrete Anchor Bolts pages, or see the full anchor bolt range.

Standard Knife Anchors replace cast-in-place J-bolts. Standard Plate Anchors replace tension tie straps and strap anchors. The Mini-Pack exists so you can handle and install both before committing to a quantity.

Embedment depth available in your stem wall and whether it clears existing reinforcement, access under the sill plate in crawl spaces and tight garage returns, the true extent of spalling around the failed anchor, and what your jurisdiction expects for documentation.

Yes. Once you have confirmed the right part, order at quantity from the Standard Knife Anchor Bolts or Standard Center Plate Concrete Anchor Bolts pages, or see the full shop.

The system exceeds ACI and ICRI criteria and is used nationwide. Because this is a repair to a structural connection, many Arizona jurisdictions ask for a letter from the engineer of record before sign-off, while some require no permit at all. Confirm with your local building department before scheduling the work.

Yes. Grade B7 rod is a heat-treated chromium-molybdenum low-alloy steel with a minimum tensile strength requirement of 125 ksi (860 MPa), yield 105 ksi (720 MPa), and maximum hardness of 35 HRC. The alloy is specified for corrosion resistance as much as for strength.

Orders ship direct from Tempe, Arizona. Average delivery is between five and eight business days.

Our clients report pricing installed bolts at two times material cost or more. It is worth factoring that into a bid before ordering quantity.
